Ann and Ryan
March 8, 2011
Salt Lake Temple
Heritage Gardens

BEFORE THE WEDDING

Occupations: Ann- violin teacher, Ryan- student

How the couple met: We attended the same university, the same church and then Ryan moved next door to me.

How he proposed: He COMPLETELY surprised me while we were on a New Years trip to Salt Lake visiting my family. He'd never been to Temple Square at Christmas before, and convinced me, almost against my will, to take TRAX downtown in the frigid cold and see the lights. When we got there, we found a spot where there weren't any people (almost impossible) and he got down on one knee and proposed. I thought he was kidding at first! I wasn't expecting it at all, and thought he was joking until he pulled out the ring. Of course I said yes.

Bridal shower/Bachelorette party: In Salt Lake and Houston. Showers were thrown by my friends in Utah, Ryan's aunts in Texas and my bachelorette party was at a tapas restaurant in Houston.

Bachelor party: It's happening next week actually. Things were a bit stressful right before the wedding. :)

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT

Bride's answer: The ceremony. I loved having almost all of my dearest friends and family with us as we took this step!

Groom's answer: When Ann sang "Someone to Watch Over Me"...she did not know that that was the song she was singing when I first thought that I liked her. It was very special.

A memorable moment of the honeymoon: Sneaking food into our hotel room so that we didn't have to leave it.
