Jennifer + Josh
June 27, 2009
The Canyons
Park City, Utah
BEFORE THE WEDDING
Occupations: Jenn: Medical Sales Rep and Josh: Film Director
How the couple met: Mountain Hosts at The Canyons in 2002
How he proposed: On one knee, of course!
Bridal shower/Bachelorette party: We went to Tahoe to my friend's cabin that we've been going to since high school.
Bachelor party: We went to a Cabin in Big Bear in March to ski and hang out. The guys made me ski all day in a Carmen Miranda costume!
WEDDING
Ceremony Place: Red Pine Lodge at The Canyons
Date: 6/27/09
The bride wore: Alfred Angelo Ivory Gown with Corset Tie Back
The groom wore: Men's Wearhouse Chocolate Brown Tux
RECEPTION
Reception Place: Red Pine Lodge at The Canyons
Wedding music: DJ Jake Russell
Wedding song: Annie's Song, John Denver
Menu: Utah Trout, Ribeye
Cake: Carrie's Cakes did the most amazing cake for us. It was covered in Pirouette cookies dipped in white chocolate. I hear it was delicious, but I was too busy dancing to eat any!
Colors: Brown, Golden Yellow
Theme: Nature/Outdoor recreation/Place we met. Since we met at The Canyons, we tried to incorporate that into everything. We gave everyone a "Guide to Park City" with all of our favorite places and a map labeling the favorite spots!
Flowers: We just had Gerber Daisies, mostly yellow, but some fuchsia and red scattered around too.
Décor elements: River Rock, Tree rounds, recreation symbols. My dad built us an altar made of aspen branches and we scattered aspen leaves down the aisle. The centerpieces were just vases with river rock/water/floating flowers. My favorite part was the table cards were all different outdoor recreation symbols, and we put the symbols on the room gifts, programs, etc.
Unique details: Recreation Symbols. We're super outdoorsy, so each table had their own symbol of something we love to do outdoors. We sat at the "Double Canoeing" table because we've had some hilarious canoeing adventures over the years.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT
Bride's answer: Seeing Josh when I started to walk down the aisle and getting so excited, I waved to him.
Groom's answer: Everything about the ceremony was amazing. Seeing Jenn for the first time, her waving at me, the songs, the vows. It was all hilarious, sincere, fun and emotional.
HONEYMOON
Place: Belize
A memorable moment of the honeymoon: You Betta Belize we had the best trip ever! We had our own garden and outdoor shower where we stayed!
WEDDING ADVICE: Take many moments together throughout the day to be together and breathe, and just appreciate everything around you. It goes fast, so you have to make some time to stop and take it all in.

Invitations: We emailed them to be "green"
