Trash The Dress - Army Junk Yard

Yesterday I did a trash the dress session with Christin. You might remember their wedding pictures from 7-7-07 on my blog. Well, Christin told me a week ago she wanted to trash her wedding dress because she would much rather get some great photos then try and sell the dress on craigslist or ebay. So, we brain stormed some locations and we came up with an army junk yard! The dress was very trash by the end of the photo shoot. The dress had grease, tar, and oil all over it. Also, the underskirt ripped so much that we had to leave part of it behind next to a human sized rusty pipe. Enjoy!

Hot Pink!

Hot Pink! Thats right I've dyed my hair hot pink! well... just a chuck of my hair in the front and the rest of it is my lovely bright red. What do you think of it? My sweet little sister took this photo of me today. Also, I received the sweetest thing in the mail today. One of my clients gave me a gift certificate to Breathe Spa. I've never been to a spa! thank you Kathy!

Family Pictures at Memory Grove

Brian, Brooke, and Zoe are such a fun bunch. I had a lot of fun at memory grove today shooting their family pictures. Zoe was really excited about all the other dogs playing at the park and didn't care about the ball and dog treats I brought along for her to look at the camera. It was a bit of a challenge to get her to look in my direction when all she wanted to do was go play with the other dogs. I was a little worried it would rain on us so I brought along a large black umbrella. It sprinkled for a little while and then cleared up again. I found it better to embrace the rain instead of fight it so we have a few shots with the umbrella. Enjoy.

First up, Zoe kept looking at Brooke and not at the camera. Still a fun shot.

Zoe looking at the black lab playing fetch.

Finally! We figured out how to get Zoe to look at the camera. Just smash her head in between Brian and Brooke's head. We even got a smile out of Zoe! yes!

Industrial Modeling Shoot

Jayme contacted me and was wondering if I wanted to do some modeling pictures. I said, "Sure!" So, she picked the clothes and I picked the location. Then we got together Saturday afternoon to take some pictures for her modeling portfolio. She told me that she goes to Las Vegas for most of her modeling photo shoots. Jayme likes to do her own poses and she moves really fast. Every time she heard the shutter on my camera click she would switch to a different pose. I think she looks a little like Minnie Driver but Jayme is more attractive.

Engagement Pictures - Temple Square

Eli and Marisol are having a winter wedding in Mexico. They called me in a bit of a hurry because they were only in town for the weekend to visit some family members and pick out Marisol's wedding dress. So, I shot their engagement pictures the day before they were going back home to Mexico. It was super bright outside and rather hot at temple square on Saturday. Their were tons of newly married couples at the temple getting their wedding day pictures taken so we were quick to get our pictures and move on. I was asking Eli and Mar about the food in Mexico and I recommend that they check out Red Iguana while they were in Utah .

Kathy

On Friday last week, I shot Kathy's boudoir pictures at her house. You might remember Kathy and Hal's engagements pictures in sugar house and at the 337 project. Like all my boudoir shoots these pictures will be a gift for her soon to be husband. I just put up a boudoir gallery on my Utah wedding photography website under the portfolio link. I must say that Kathy has the most beautiful angel-like skin I have ever seen. I leave you with another boudoir head shot.

Joana

I've been busy this past weekend. Next up is Joana's garden bridal pictures. I love low fresh her bridal bouquet is and how it contrasts against her wedding dress. I was raining of and on during the bridal session but the picture turned out great. Its a good thing I brought along a white Chinese parasol even though it was made of paper it still provided some coverage.
